I was contracted by Kingston's Accommodation Partners (KAP) to curate a group of content creators and instagram photographers from their three target markets of Ottawa, Montreal and Toronto for a familiarization tour. KAP's objective was to increase awareness of Kingston as a destination of choice in Ontario.
The focus of this project was to bring together a group with diverse connections to the “maker movement”; such as artisans, photographers + entrepreneurs to experience the city through their own lens. Through my own knowledge and through extensive research I personally selected candidates to attend this tour.
I was also responsible for preparing an itinerary for the guests, including liaising with local artisans and securing unique and special experiences in the Kingston area for the tour to enjoy.
On the weekend itself, I acted a guide for this group and spent three days exploring Kingston's artist and maker studios, liaising with culture figureheads and eating the best in local food.
With a collective digital footprint of 304,607 this group yielded over 25,000 Instagram likes over the course of the weekend. The photos taken on the tour were also submitted to for use to KAP in further marketing initiatives.
